So they've got a twitter and a youtube, they're not anhoaboeacna or whatever its name is, and they don't travel through physical space. So what does this mean exactly?

(OOG: Probably that it's a part of the game, LOL.)

It might mean that they are from another plane and are aware of the Gangadiddle and want to get to it before we do. But how do we prevent this? They even said we will never meet. Also, they mention a "speech binding" that they must have placed on Gangatamer, which is why he had to give us the info in code like always.

I guess we wait and see.

Hey everyone, I posted over at http://gangadiddle.proboards.com/ yesterday in the general forum. It's a quick(?) rundown of where things started, what happened, and where we are now. If you are new, it might help you get caught up so you don't duplicate the work of hunters who came before (unless you really want to, cuz it is kinda fun to do the puzzles lol) but I think it might be a good idea to at least post something there from time to time and not let it sit and collect dust for months on end.
Also, there's the wiki at http://gangadiddle.wikidot.com which nobody has updated in awhile. If I get time I might try to edit it some. It's kind of out of date too.
I'm also going to post in the puzzles, etc board about the current clue. Anyway, I just wanted to mention that. I'm out.

Good job Eebster on recuirting a new member to add too this hunt. I am too lazy to make a list. Anyways, I haven't watched the new video, thanks for putting that info. Is it smile.dog? If it is, then s33k3rs might be trying to scare us off, or they could be trying to put image and video memes into secret messages. Check if there is any other internet memes in that video. I have a bad headache right now, so watching videos might not be the best thing for me.

Hi, I'm glad you joined us. To give a very general outline, the ARG started with Poochee and Pansy, a series I personally found first mentioned on /b/ (in a very clever way, I might add), and others found on /x/. I'm not sure how you found it. The sixth video is called "Message from the Gangadiddle," so I searched for "Gangadiddle" on Google and found the Michael Filters Gabriel blog (here: http://michaelfiltersgabriel.wordpress.com) (this was in fact the only result on Google), which linked me to the gangadiddle Youtube channel (here: http://www.youtube.com/user/gangadiddle). The only video there at that time was called "Soon" and contained a very simple riddle that led to a message something like "The Gangadiddle comes to the real world in March." I soon found three forums discussing the ARG: This one, the Tails Doll Research Lab, and a Trailhead thread that soon died. I have done some searching and believe these two forums are the only two still active, although there is also now a proboards forum dedicated exclusively to the Gangadiddle (but it is basically inactive).

Anyway, the Gangadiddle channel has a number of videos, each of which is a puzzle. Some of the puzzles were tough, so additional hints were given in the descriptions, which changed several times, eventually being changed to "clear" when the puzzle was fully solved (with a couple exceptions). These puzzles involved not only the videos themselves, but also other files to be found hidden online, for example one involved jpeg pictures on imageshack that contained hidden rars containing a video. The hunt was supposed to officially begin March 15, but actually started a little early, leading to some problems. After the hunt began, many of the puzzles have required physically traveling to certain places in Virginia and reading monuments and such.

One character who soon became apparent was dolst. Poochee and Pansy was an animated series produced by "Dolst Family Entertainment," which was some sort of front that I still don't understand well. Hoodie Guy, who later called himself the "Hunt Master" and whose true name we later discovered is Nathan Israel, used those videos as a rabbit hole, as you can obviously see.

Apparently at one point in early 2010 we were all trapped in isolated worlds that looked just like the real world we grew up in but actually contained fake people. Each of us was the only real person in our own world. In particular, the fake dolst was assimilated into Dolst Family Entertainment, whereas in the real world that company didn't even exist. When the hunt began, we were each brought back to the real world somehow, and we met the real dolst, who was quite confused at the commotion and surprised that anything was wrong at all (he was visited by Nathan, I guess, who told him some stuff about the hunt). dolst is now a semi-active participant, but for reasons not entirely clear he can't help us much in the actual hunt. His youtube channel is just dolst (http://www.youtube.com/user/dolst), and the dolst family entertainment homepage is still up at http://dolst.9k.com. This site, interestingly enough, is also used for many of the clues. Dolst, Nathan, and the s33k3rs also all have Twitter accounts.

What else . . . the video "Answers" on the gangadiddle channel will help you understand a little bit. The most complete way to understand would require reading through the threads from the beginning. There is a LOT of stuff I left out. Another Youtube channel that played a part in the ARG was KrapTNomYam (http://www.youtube.com/user/kraptnomyam). One last thing. This ARG technically started on a thread on /x/ a long time ago. In a sense, this is all a sequel to that thread. I don't remember the exact address, but it is just a few posts up, and it is pretty interesting. The s33k3rs seem like they may bear some relation to that thread, but it isn't clear what.





I did notice smile.jpg but sort of forgot about it. You will notice that the face resembles the seekers' grin, so that makes sense. Not sure if there is more to it than that.
