Hey, I think I've got the third bytecode about figured out. Take bytecode #2:
eXItIng - XII 12
eXcess IndignIty - XII 12
XaVIer - XVI 16
Veritas IbIs - VII 7
LeXIcon IconIc - LXIII 63
(^ credit Jalebi)
And now use the hints here:
Image autoposted.
Symmetry.
All your 8x8 base are belong to us.
Decay unlucky.

First clue is symmetry. Let's try left to right, top to bottom. (121612763) Hmmm, no. Maybe top, bottom, right? (121216763)
...
Darn, no dice. Maybe the next clue will help? It could mean many things, but there are "Zero Wing" (lol) and Base 64. (< As first pointed out by Jalebi.)
Unsurprisingly, adding a 0 on both ends of the code does nothing. Yeah, that was pretty much for the lulz.
Base 64 translation:

I, much like element50man, have no clue.
As for "Decay unlucky," that probably means the file decays a bit because of the format they put it in.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Good news:
FAILSAFE SCRIPT, PHASE 6 INITIALIZING
Please standby.
That's all for now, folks.

Hey, sneaking another post in during work hours. lol I just thought of something. The ones that seem similar are black and white and have numbers in them, right? How about the first one? It just looks like a sawblade and a teardrop... unless maybe there's some numbers hidden in that as well? Just a thought.
Edit:
New post on dolst.9k.com:
FAILSAFE SCRIPT, PHASE 6 ACTIVE
dolst Psychotrigger activated. Message tweeted.
AND I CAN'T GET TO TWITTER!!!! GAH!
Edit 2:
Great, the one day the boss is out for the day and TWITTER WON'T #&*%IN' LOAD!!
Anyway, I just did a writeup of all the bytecodes we have so far:
http://gangadiddle.proboards.com/index. … ;thread=12
Could be a good starting point for outsiders and/or new players.... Wheels turning in my head as I scheme about what certain image board I might post that to. lol
Edit 3:
Okay that's weird! I posted it successully but then I was logged off! Bizarre...
The s33k3rs did it.

Well, the tweets are up and interesting. I wont' post the entire thing, but the first few tell us that all bytecode should look the same once fully deciphered. Then he tells a story with the following words capitalized: Gia, Mess, Elsie-Bea. At the end of the story, Elsie-Bea ate one Gia Mess (which was the name of her messy food).
Finally he gives us the following:
"_____-___ ___ ___ ___ ____! You have the following letters: AAABEEEEEEGIILMNOSSST"
Which becomes "Elsie-Bea ate one Gia Mess!"
I have to admit I don't really get it. Is it a clue to a bytecode? Is it a clue to a password, or even the password itself? I suspect "Mess" is "message" and "ate one" is "8 1," and "Elsie" is probably "else," but that's all I got.
E: By the way, how are you finding two wavs in the doc? The doc is only 497k and both WinRAR and 7zip are only finding xmls. What exactly am I missing here?

I'm thinking it's L C B 8 1 .. but I dunno what gia mess could mean. Got some stuff going on in the RLs, so I'm sorry I haven't contributed much lately. Still lurking. Sorry guys.
EDIT: LCB81 is apparently a model of computer battery. if that's at all related. :3

Maybe the whole thing is phonetic, and it's "L C B 8 1 G M S". But still, what do we do with it?
EDIT:Another megaupload. http://megaupload.com/?d=LCB81GMS

Well anyway the picture is a square with the following written around the edges:
Top:X+Y
Right:X
Bottom:73Y
Left:23X

Why is the picture a gif? Odd.

Wait.... why are you guys doing all this anyways?

Hello again everyone. I've been away and once again it looks like I've missed some stuff. :-.

Here's the general rundown and a kindof briefing on the story so far:
http://gangadiddle.proboards.com/index. … amp;page=1
The short short version is that we're trying to find the Gangadiddle before 2013 or it might take over the world and destroy us all. But there is another group known as the s33k3rs who are looking for it (him?) and might try to use it to, uh, well, probably also take over the world and destroy us all.
Nathan Israel (Interdimensional Hunt Master), dolst, and David Yamaguchi have been feeding us information, but now the s33k3rs have incapacitated them.
This link gives a brief over view of the our attempt to free them.
http://gangadiddle.proboards.com/index. … amp;page=1
HTH, and welcome to the Hunt!
Now, dolst tweeted this recently:
I feel like time is running out, but time for what?? I keep thinking of the number of points the letter X has.... But why? Surf Wisely.
I guess it's a clue about Bytecode number 6. X has 4 points, right? If X=4, then:
storme wrote:
Top:X+Y
Right:X
Bottom:73Y
Left:23X
becomes:
Top:4+Y
Right:4
Bottom:73Y
Left:92
We still don't know what Y is though.
FAILSAFE SCRIPT, PHASE 7 (FINAL) ACTIVE
final bytecode dot gif
And that means Bytecode 7 is up. Probably on the site, probably in the gangadiddle directory. I'll be checking that once I get my thoughts on 6 together.
Also, I'm going to try to figure out the Bytecodes we haven't cracked yet.

Soooo.... your hunting down a thing that takes over bodies with words.... amirite?
COOL

Hehe... Close enough. :-) You in?
EDIT:
Check this out:
http://img507.imageshack.us/i/1stbytecodenumbers.jpg/
My theory on how the first bytecode image has numbers in it after all. I thought of dolst's tweet about the number of points "X" has, and then I realized, maybe he's talking about the first one too. So I looked at the number of points each shape has and I came up with that pic.
It would mean,
Top: 4 (and maybe 7)
Left: 3
Right: (maybe 7) and 4 (and maybe 3)
Bottom: 19 (and maybe 3)
If I'm right, it's pretty straightforward that the left is going to be 3 no matter what.
The top would be 4 by itself; 11 or 28 with the 7.
The right would be: 4 by itself; 11 or 28 with just the 7; 7 or 12 with just the 3; 14 or 84 with both.
OR, I just had a thoughth: What if the X is not a shape like the others (cuz, well, look at it, maybe it's not) and it's just a multiplyer! That would mean the 7 and 3 belong over there and that's just multiplying them and it's 21!
If the 3 goes with the 19 on the bottom, then it could be 12 or 57. But if the 3 is multiplied over on the right, then it's just 19.
What does anyone else think?
Also, we need to figure out the passwords for the two, as yet, still-locked bytecodes.
EDIT 2:
Oh yeah, just figured this one out:
http://dolst.9k.com/gangadiddle/finalbytecode.gif
They pretty much gave it to us. Probably wanted to cut us a break. Also, it looks like the numbers have been kinda just given to us on this one too.
Left: 84
Bottom: 29
Top and/or right: 41
Hehe, thought the bottom was 67 at first, then I realized it was upsidedown.
I'll update here if I figure out more.
NEWS FLASH ON BYTECODE 4!!!
I decided to post some info on /x/ and sure enough somebody figured it out! The password to the word doc is "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious", as any of us could have figured out had we googled the phrase in the word file. :-P
Now I have 2 wav files, both of which sound the same but are different file sizes. It sounds like someon saying something about "the difference" but I'm at my work computer and can't pump the speakers up right now.
The folks over at /x/ seem to be helpful today, so we'll see. :-)
EDIT:
/x/ thread is here:
http://boards.4chan.org/x/res/5181040
They live slightly longer than /b/ threads, so maybe it'll actually be there when you click. :-)

Seriously, how did you do that?

His exact words are "four of seven find the difference"
Offline
It's probably referring to the fact that it's the fourth bytecode out of seven.

I really would like an answer to this. It can't be that hard to explain how you extracted a file.

That's all I did man. Maybe try re-downloading it?

Not sure what's going wrong here. Version of WinRAR or something?
E: Never mind, the problem apparently was me opening the doc in Word before opening it in WinRAR. No clue how that could matter since I didn't save or anything, but there you go.
