Sweet, it worked. I would say the way you arranged those letters was pretty unambiguous and unlikely to be incorrect anyway.
For Commencement.pdf, the link is here: http://dolst.9k.com/gangadiddle/Commencement.pdf
If you can't get that for some reason, I can just put it in a google doc.

Thanks for the link! I don't know why I couldn't get to it before, unless it was a speeling error on my part.
New videos on s33k3rs and dolst's youtube accounts. I can't view them at work. :(

It's an Alternate Reality Game (ARG). Looking that up will give you a vague idea of what is going on.
This is the only major thread still discussing this ARG since the Tails Doll Research Lab got moved.

Whoaho! Sorry I've been away for so long but it doesn't really look like I was doing much good after all!
Great job, tomatogoatee! I need to update the Gangadiddle proboards page (not like anybody reads it anyway). So what happens now? I guess we'll just have to wait and see. :-)

We still need someone in Virginia to find out what those plaques say. I've tried to find out what they could be, in the hopes that someone somewhere has pictures of them on the internet, but everything keeps coming up Milhouse. Essex County public records doesn't show the owner of that particular piece of land. (In fact, the public records jumps from near the post office in Dunnsville all the way south to Center Cross, almost like there's NOTHING in between.)
I know it was bending the rules, but I called the Dunnsville post office and casually asked the guy working there if he happened to know what that memorial/marker was for and he said he thought it had something to do with Rappahannock Academy, but he wasn't sure. Searching for that, I still couldn't find anything, so I think he might have been wrong. (I was tempted to call again, but it's a small town post office and I doubt there's anyone else working there.)
I've checked with my friends and family and nobody knows anyone in the area who might be able to help. My resources are tapped out unless I can convince my wife to take a trip with me.

Tomato, I got your message, and I appreciate the help. Sorry for being gone, I've been out of the country on a trip. bout 10 pages since I left, can someone give me a TL;DR version of what I missed?

You can find any bytecodes you might have missed there.
As for how the puzzle was solved, Tomatogoatee realized that the outline of the bytecode images themselves seemed to resemble letters. After dolst posted about playing tetris, we realized that the bytecodes were supposed to be rotated and matched, and of course Tomato figured out how to fit them together before we had a chance. (The end result spelled out "Rudolfo.")
We gave a shout out to the s33k3rs and... here we are.

Are you still out of the country or are you back home? You are, presently, our best hope for finding out what we need from that darned site.

Alright, guys, I've got some news. My birthday is coming up on the 23rd and I told my wife about how I wanted to participate in this 'web-game' and she's agreed to take a trip with me to some field in the middle of BFE, Virginia to take pictures of a sign and she's all for it! So, unless someone else can manage to get there before me, we'll be heading up the weekend of the 24th-26th. If anyone can be online to help solve the puzzles during that timeframe, we might even be able to go to another couple sites before we have to head back to Florida.
Our plan would be to leave Friday the 24th nice and early for the 10-hour drive, find our hotel in Richmond and, hopefully, get out to the Dunnsville site that afternoon/early evening. Provided there's AT&T coverage in the area, I should be able to upload pictures from the site. Maybe we could coordinate a chatroom for the weekend to expedite solving the clues.
Just to let you guys know, we won't be spending ALL our time up there on the hunt. (We do want some 'us' time.) We will, however, spend as much time as we can in the aid of the group.

Awesome news, tg! I hope your wife doesn't think you're too weird for wanting to drive hundreds of miles for a "game". (What game? This is real! LOL)
Anyway, it looks like lots of things are suddenly happening. First, there's http://youtube.com/huntchronicle who posted on michaelfiltersgabriel and now has a video up. Somebody posted the vid on sanc, who said it was on /x/ originally. It's like a recap of what happened with Poochee and Pansy, about a minute long, and set to "Nightmare" by Avenged Sevenfold. (I don't particularly care for them, TBH.)
Then, there's a new tweet at http://twitter.com/gangadiddle and I think it may be directed at you, tg!
Be sure to look down. Watch your step, or at least what you step on. They are embedded. You will know when you see them.

(E: With how recent it is, I think that's probably for you.) I keep going back to the "slate" and "concrete" thing. Slate embedded in concrete maybe? Or maybe it's a reference to the s33k3rs. "They are embedded". Does that mean there are s33k3rs among us? Scary stuff. hehe
Either way, I can't wait to hear what you find! Thanks for making the trip! :-) And, uh, I guess watch your step? LOL
E: OH SNAP! S33kers just chimed in!
Take a trip. Waste your time. We will laugh.

I think that is DEFINITELY pointed at you!! The plot thickens! (Again.)

Gotta love the s33k3rs. The last, fleeting cries of a fading faction. Once we find the leader's name, they'll be all but a memory.
Given that last tweet from G, the clue is somewhere in the walkway, not so much the signs at the end. I'm planning on taking photos of everything in the area (walkway, signs, anything that looks like part of the site), so I'm sure we'll figure it out.
(I will confess that, upon review of the previous 'clueX' puzzles, the bytecodes were cake. I hope we'll have a few people available to work on it, because I don't really know how much use I'll be, aside from my camera.)
(OOG: That last clue seems like a gimmie. I guess that, since it looks like this'll be the only expedition we get for a while, he wants to make sure we don't miss it. You can believe me when I say I'm not planning on missing ANYTHING while I'm there, dag-nabbit! This is probably my only chance to physically participate in the Hunt. Heck, I'd love to be the one who FINDS the G, but that's not terribly likely, given we still have, what, six clues left [barring any further bindings] and I'm only going to be there for a couple days.)

TG, I'm very glad you can come down to Richmond with your wife. Perhaps we could manage a rendevous?

That's kinda the response I was expecting, but my wife loves road trips. Plus, Richmond is only a couple hours away from DC, so the wife and I were thinking of hitting some museums while we're there.

You mean 'up' to Richmond. ;) I'd love to meet up! It'd be great to meet a fellow Hunter in person. (As you might guess, there's a lack of them down here.) What part of the state do you live in?

I didn't see a solution found to this hint anywhere else in the thread and was wondering if it was solved, abandoned, unrelated, or obsolete. The ingur.com link points to the image screencaped in the post, but lacks the embedded RAR and, naturally, the included audio clip.

I'm guessing that, since it was on /x/, it was more a trailhead and not so much a clue to any particular part of the puzzle. I have a feeling the solution involved the text from the song as the source for the numbers.

Haven't seen any comments on it, but according to a tweet from s33k3rs, David never existed. I don't know what they could have done to retroactively remove him from the timeline, but if he really is gone/never was, then we've lost an important ally.
dolst wrote:
Still searching for David. It's not very encouraging. :-( Surf Wisely.
s33k3rs wrote:
@dolst You cannot find someone who never existed. Our energetic vector proximity to the Gangadiddle aids us.
In the past, uncommon words in tweets were usually some kind of clue. I've been pouring over 'energetic vector proximity' trying to figure out if there's something there we can use the help dolst find David, but like I mentioned before, word puzzles aren't exactly my strong point.
From my 11th Hour days, my first guess was that 'energetic' means 'vector' or 'vector proximity' is an anagram for something. (The only word I can get out of 'vector' is 'covert' and I get way too many using both words together... Nothing worth nothing with 'proximity' alone.)
Of course, this could also just be the s33k3rs trying to appear intimidating and I'm seeing things that aren't there, but that's a peculiar choice of words. Energetic (abundance of energy, hyper) vector (direction, course) proximity (closeness in location, time, order) just doesn't make sense by itself...

The only way that could possibly make sense would be if they were actually chasing the Gangadiddle somehow, and last time I checked that thing was good and bound. The s33k3rs may say some weird stuff, but it almost always has a discernible meaning. That said, I'd say there's probably something hidden in there.
I don't really know what to do with it, though, as your attempts at finding an anagram didn't go so well.
Of course, you could just ignore the fact that it doesn't make complete sense, and accept it for what it seems to mean: The s33k3rs are close to the Gangadiddle and are able to siphon some of its energy because of this. They then used this energy to erase David from (some form of) existence.
Hooray for being protected by the hunt!

listen, they are on my heels and I lack very much time left. I expect you to listen and to learn. the hunt is not safe, you must leave it right now. They will use your heads for the next signal jamming. This one will not be in wyoming, though, it will be in New York, every signal will be hacked. Stop the mastermind befor- oh god! no! get back!
